Help answer the question about politic news

Looking for a way to pull up news events from a certain date.?
I am trying to do research on major events, but looking for specific dates. For example, top US, World, Politics, and Celebrity news topics from 3 months ago, 1 year ago, 5 years ago, etc.. Not just a year in review, but something like "March 1996 News topics".
Is there a website that shows this? Google isn't much help, or maybe I'm just not asking for the right search.

I always like the BBC. Now that CNN is unwatchable (in my opinion) they are the best I have seen for international news.

I’m curious if anyone has bothered to listen to the other side here. The IG in question had already been written up for doing things that get cops and lawyers fired on TV, stuff that even Hollywood writers know is wrong. An IG should have known out of the box that it was wrong, but Walpin apparently defied direct orders to behave.

And Beck, like normal, fails to provide any semblance of a balanced POV despite its availability in other very public news sources.

Well, as a blanket statement, you can say that reports about any election can be considered as political news. Considering that the President is the most powerful office-bearer in Pakistan, it is more justified. However considering the way democracy works (rather does not work!), and the way a military general has held the democracy hostage for many years this particular case is more of a joke! (that is sarcastically speaking)
    Hope it helps…

Mictlan, I have tried to find something that he was written up for and the only thing I can find up is that the NY times criticized him for the prosecution of Roy Cohn in 1964 in a March 2nd article.

What “evidence” do you have that he was written up?

If you want to know about a war between two countries you've never heard of before, ask a hedge fund manager, he'll know all about it. Want to know how major business avoided the Asian economic crisis? Americans that read about what was happening to Thai baht exchange rates in 97 and the chain of events that followed it didn't get hurt. Those who weren't up on thier news were hurt bad or put out of business. These days if your a decision maker in a global company you cannot ignore anything that is happening in the world. In China, the words opportunity and crisis are the same word. You can win or you can lose in any given situation, but you'll never win if you don't know what's going on. Make a habit of being informed now and you'll naturally know what's going on in the future.

About the only thing they haven't said about her today to pump her up, is she can also rip a phone book in half with her bare hands. No one cared or even knew a dam thing about her twenty four hours ago. Now they are carrying on like they have known her all their lives. It's Ironic McCain has only met her just once before announcing her as VP.

I wonder if she spins around if she'll turn into Wonder woman, with that disguised look, glasses and the bunned hair.

Yes. Just ask any Hillary supporter or anyone who doesn't support Obama. The Obamabots flag your question automatically as a violation and Y!A goes right along.

Amazing how the far fringe right wingnut Beck takes offense…… but where was he when Rove, et. al, were firing attorneys general all over the US during the Bush administration?

  12. roscoe85cj on: 9 November 2009 at 9:27 am

FYI dingus, Clintoon fired 4 times as many as Bush et al did.

Watch Obama squirm when (if) the investigation into ACORN gets going full steam … what he did to Inspector General Walpin is a crime and doesn’t pass the small test.

The tabloid trash media is waiting to report this as soon as they find a way to spin this into damage control for Obama and totally ruin Walpins reputation and smear Walpin.

  16. pandabead on: 10 November 2009 at 5:08 am

Guess what the budget for 2010 is 3 trillion dollars. This scumbag is totally out of control!!

  17. Yeagermeister07 on: 10 November 2009 at 1:02 pm

Attorney Generals work for the President. As Chief Executive he is in charge of carrying out the laws and can pick and choose who he wants carrying out their duties. The Inspector General doesn’t work for anyone. They are supposed to be completely independent to investigate fraud, waste, and abuse and shouldn’t be fired for an investigation.
